Gaza Militants To Halt Rocket Attacks On Israel
(RTTNews) - Hamas, the radical Islamic group that governs the Gaza Strip, announced Saturday that it has reached an agreement with other militant groups in the besieged Palestinian territory to halt rocket attacks on Israel.
Hamas' interior minister Fathi Hammad said that the cease fire is aimed at preventing retaliatory attacks from Israel, there by allowing the residents of Gaza to recover from the damages caused by the recent three-week long Israeli offensive early this year.
Hammad said the cease-fire agreement was aimed at bringing stability to the region, but warn (continued...)
